Studio Peek

Etsy Bloggers are sharing photos of their studios this month.

With bits and pieces of my various projects migrating to almost every room, my whole house seems to be my studio. I mainly work at my kitchen table, not terribly glamorous but it has great light and a wonderful view of my backyard.

I have a variety of storage containers.

I'm particularly fond of these.

I like the orderly little compartments and the fact that I can see what's inside without opening the lid.

This case is very efficient at storing a number of larger items. The multi-level tiers give me a lot of storage in a small space which is really great when I go to workshops.

I'm pretty low tech too and have been 'green' well before it was the 'in' thing to be.
I re-use all sorts of containers from plastic bags to cardboard boxes.

This has been my long time favorite way to keep my supplies semi-organized. The emphasis on semi, because while I'd love to be super organized I never quite seem to get there.

How do do like to organize your supplies/workspace. I'd love to hear your tips and tricks.

thanks for sharing pics of your workspace & storage ideas...I recycle packaging all the time...especially little jars & bottles.

My workspace can also be all over the house, depending on what I'm working on. I have the compartmentalized containers for my beads also. When I'm working on jewelry a lot, I will have so many on my work table. At some point I'll have to clean it all up. Since I use a guest bedroom, when guests arrive, that's when I have to clean it up.
My bead store owner/friend said that we should all take photos of our work spaces, and she that is the messiest should win!

I enjoyed seeing your studio and love your view! I use a tackle box to store most of my beads in so I can carry them around the house since I don't have a studio either. I also put the tag from the bead string in like you do so I always know what it is and the cost of each bead.

Mary, I work all over my house, too--not necessarily in one room--so I enjoyed seeing how you store things. I like the box & bag approach!

This make s me wonder how many of us actually work all over the house. It feels good not to be alone!

Organized? I'm supposed to be organized, too! Oh, heck.

I do use trays a lot. That way, my current project can be portable, easy to carry from place to place, or put away. When I run out of trays, I clean up!
